Corum has delivered the first of its latest updated design vehicle steering torque and angle transducer (VSTAT) to an OEM customer. The customer ordered a system with interchangeable cores for 0-50Nm and 0-150Nm torque ranges. As well as the option of interchangeable cores, the new design includes updated electronics, improved wireless transmission for torque and new Li-ion battery for longer service between charging.

The re-designed VSTAT system is configurable as a replacement steering wheel system or with clamp to mount to the OE steering wheel. An adjustable steering angle stop is available for step-steer tests.
